FACTS conference platform prototype

Each of these opens the registration screen with the situation already set up.
-
A member-only code, used by someone who is not a member
The code is refused, and the reason says so. Member status is read from the membership record, so forwarding the email to a colleague achieves nothing.
-
The same code, used by an actual member
Same code, same screen. The rate drops to the member column and the discount applies, without anyone at FACTS checking a list.
-
Two promotional codes at once
Both are valid. Only one applies, because they belong to the same group, and the panel names which one won.
-
Two codes that are meant to combine
A registration discount and an add-on discount belong to different groups, so both apply, each to its own part of the bill.
-
A speaker comp
Registration is waived and every other discount is removed, because a comp cannot be combined. The banquet ticket is still charged.
-
The early window closing
The same registration, priced on the second of February. Early rates are a column in the rate table, not a code, so they close on their own.
-
A code from last year
Still circulating, still refused, with the expiry date given rather than a generic error.
-
A group of four
The group rate applies without a code being issued at all, and it combines with a promotional code because the two are in different groups.
The four screens
| Registration | What a registrant sees, with a running explanation of the price beside it. Rates, add-ons, membership and every discount rule are live. |
| Rates and codes | Where those rules are set. Change a figure here and the registration screen uses it immediately. This is the screen that decides whether FACTS depends on a developer for a price change. |
| Exhibitor portal | The checklist that replaces chasing logos and descriptions by email, with due dates, reminders and a view of every exhibitor's outstanding items. |
| Reports | Registration pace against last year, revenue by role, people who started and stopped, and what each discount code is actually costing. |
